A season of loneliness and isolation is when the caterpillar gets its wings. ~ Mandy Hale I want to believe this quote I really do but it doesn’t exempt the fact that the feeling of being lonely sucks. 2019 has been a reverent year and as we begin to reflect we may feel alone during our busiest time. Life has been a roller coaster of challenges where I’ve found myself both lovesick, overwhelmed with joy, completely bowled over with sadness and surprised by my own power. And at this time of year you may feel all these things too. As we reflect on our decisions and actions and all the things that have happened can we strive to find some sort of peace? acceptance of all that has transpired. Whether we are flying or still bundled in our cocoons knowing that nothing stays the same. No feeling, especially the feeling of loneliness is forever. We are fluid like the the seasons ~ always moving, always evolving. sometimes stormy sometimes calm and sometimes somewhere in between. Be kind to wherever you are at in this crazy world. And on your longest day of the season take care of yourself. #summersolstice
For today only ~Do not anger ~Do not worry ~Be Humble ~Be honest in your work ~Be compassionate to yourself and others 💫✨🌙
My hope had been to release my memoir~Meeting Papa: A journey on Te Araroa by December but sometimes life throws you some interesting lemons to make lemonade with so while I make lemonade (and lemon curd and lemon syrup and lemon marmalade 🍋 because there’s a lot of lemons!)
